Ecotourism – The Way Forward for Fraser’s Hills (in conjunction with Fraser’s Hill Bird Race 2015)

Ecotourism is relatively a very new idea especially for Malaysia and greater awareness is needed for this concept to grow and develop. With our beautiful landscapes and rich biodiversity, ecotourism is definitely the better and sustainable way forward. MNS has been in the forefront in promoting ecotourism as the way forward with the success story of Raptor Watch, an annual event held at Tanjung Tuan Forest Reserve, Malacca.

Another important event that has garnered the international attention is the Fraser’s Hill International Bird Race. In its 26th year, the race this year will also feature a timely seminar entitled Ecotourism – The Way Forward for Fraser’s Hill will be held on the 22ndof May 2015 which MNS is organizing with the support from Fraser’s Hill Development Corporation (PKBF) and Tourism Malaysia.

Relevant case studies will be shared by MNS itself, Fraser’s Hill Development Corporation (PKBF), Borneo Bird Club and WWF Malaysia with an overview by Tourism Malaysia.
