Nature Guides: Looking Out for Our Big Cats!

Original post:

Nature Guides are organizing a walk in Sungai Yu to help looking out for our wildlife’s safety particularly for our dwindling numbers of Malayan Tigers.

Come, spare us some time and join us for a CAT Walk! The routes have been determined by MYCAT researchers as poaching hotspots or common poacher access routes into core protected forests. On this walk, participants will enjoy trekking and picnicking within and around the wildlife corridor while helping with patrolling the area. During the walk, participants may have opportunity to see animal tracks in the forest and learn how to find and report evidence of illegal logging and poaching activities in the area.

• Limited to 10 pax only.
• Participants must be 18 years and above.
• Open only to MNS members.
• Require minimum of 5 pax to register with payment by 28th February 2018, the remaining number by 31st March 2018.
• Must be reasonably fit as we will be tracking at a rather long distance and time.
