Introduction

PJ-EcoMobility is a project undertaken in collaboration between CETDEM and MBPJ. This project is being undertaking using the LA21 formula whereby the park users, residents, businesses and other community based groups are invited to be involved in this project.

Objective

The primary objective of the project is to re-establish the meaning of Good Mobility by Creating People Centric Ecomobility Recreational Park giving Preference to Sustainable Transport Options. Our project aims to raise more awareness of local community on the importance of walking, cycling and using public transport (LRT, bus, carpooling) when travelling from first mile to last mile. Most importantly, a change in lifestyle to reduce individual carbon footprint.

Event

There will be a soft re-launching of Taman Jaya Recreational Park into a PJ-EcoMobility Park as details below:

8.30am : Registration
9:00 am : Welcome speech
9:20 am : Official Opening of PJ-EcoMobility Park
9.30 am : Site visit and exhibition tour
10:00 am : Morning tea break
10:30 am : PJ-EcoMobility Project Overview
11:00 am : Presentation on Improvements in Taman Jaya
11.30 am : Panel discussion on “PJ-EcoMobility for My Community”
12.30pm : Wrap up by moderator and souvenirs presentation
1:00pm : Lunch

There will be a series of exhibition related to bicycle and public transport as well as activities awaiting you in Taman Jaya Recreation Park. Come together with your friends and family members.
