Saving the Planet: Whose Responsibility is it?

We hear and read so much about climate change, global warming, protecting and saving the planet. But why should we be concerned about these issues when we are facing problems with unemployment, rising cost of living and increasing house prices?

Any change for the planet has to start small, even if it begins with just one individual or company. What is the bigger picture of the Selangor state government’s green policy? What can we do at the consumer level to reduce our plastic usage? How do we get corporations to integrate ethical eco-friendly practices within corporate governance to ensure sustainability?

The Chevening Talk Series (CTS) on Climate Change will explore these questions. Come and be part of this lively discussion with panellist HRH Princess Zatashah of Selangor; YB Elizabeth Wong, Selangor’s Green Technology and Environment Committee Chairman; Lavanya Rama Iyer, Head of Policy & Climate Change at WWF Malaysia and Datin Mina Cheah-Foong, Founder of Body Shop Malaysia.

The session will be moderated by environmentalist and founder of EcoKnights, Yasmin Rasyid.
