MDBC Sustainability Awards 2013, Open to receive nominations and recommendations!

Following on the success of the first two editions of the MDBC Sustainability Awards (MSA’11 and ’12), it is with much pride and anticipation that we hereby present to you the MSA’13!

Inspire yourself, your colleagues and employees, your stakeholders and your partners!  Inspire us at MDBC, other MDBC member-companies and of course the judges!  Submit your nominations and be a part of the MDBC Sustainability Awards 2013′s success!

The categories for this year’s MSA are as follows:

  1. Best Sustainability Communication
  2. Best Corporate Governance & Ethics
  3. Best Sustainable Workplace
  4. Best Sustainable Supply Chain Management OR Logistics Project (Members & Non Members)

For categories 1, 2, 3 (Members only):
A submission can be focused on any project that your organization sells, produces, trades, provides, or implements, which is related to relevant theme (e.g. supply chain management) and is open only to MDBC member – companies.  Other projects such as educational or awareness raising projects among a specific target group will also be considered.  Also open to consideration are projects involved in, but not limited to:  doing research, construction, design of plants, pilot projects or projects that are in any way related to one of these categories.

For category 4 (Members & Non Members):
In this category, MDBC will accept submissions by non – member companies as long as these submissions are endorsed by an MDBC member. See our website for the MDBC members and encourage them to submit a recommendation or nomination!

Led by Netherlands Ambassador H.E. Harry Molenaar as Chief Judge, the MSA’13 panel of judges will consist of highly regarded, independent expert individuals.  Each category will feature two independent judges. More information on the panel of judges will be distributed later.

The event will consist of two main parts:
Day-time:     presentations and sharing of best practices by 3 short listed companies in each category
Evening:       the MSA’13 Awards ceremony


  • Nominations for members are open until 9 September 2013;
  • Nominations for non-members are open until 29 August 2013.
  • Judges will shortlist 3 nominations in each category, to be announced in end September;
  • MSA’13 daytime:  Short listed companies will present their nominated projects to the judges, MDBC members and non-members, which serves for final voting by the judges and as the showcase and sharing of best practices. The MSA’13 daytime is OPEN TO ALL!;
  • MSA’13 evening: the MSA’13 Awards ceremony
