MSc in Life Sciences position on invasive apple snails at Sunway University

We have a  funded MSc in Life Sciences (by Research) position in the Department of Biological Sciences, Sunway University. The study is about verifying the identity of invasive apple snails (Pomacea) and studying their phylogeography with the aim of investigating possible sites of introduction and routes of dispersal.  Scholarships in the form of a partial tuition fee waiver are available for students with excellent academic records, including a monthly stipend and a research budget.

Applicants should be Malaysian citizens, highly motivated, with an interest in conservation science.   A BSc degree is required to enrol in Sunway University’s MSc program. Lab experience in molecular biology/biotechnology will help, but is not required.  Applicants must be willing to conduct some field work. Phone enquiries are welcome.
