Since 2006, Best Goats and Sheep started a farm on a 50 acre grazing land in Kampung Sungai Dua, Karak. In 2013 we received the Pahang Best Farmer Award (Penternak Jaya Pahang 2013). We are a husband and wife team with a Sustainability Manager and 2 workers on the farm. The tropical rainforest landscape is kept as natural as possible and manual work is encouraged to enhance environmental health. We believe that by learning how the nature works would benefit both the man and his surroundings. The farm is created with ecological design in its animal husbandry, pasture management, wooden architecture, rainwater harvesting system, solar power generation, probiotic usage and permaculture gardens. With the success of grass planting in our pasture land, it is sufficient to feed more than 150 goats and sheep. We breed our own herd and market to the locals as meat and breeding species. We have tropical fruit orchards and vege gardens with produce for own consumption. We welcome visitors that appreciate nature and its beauty with very basic facilities. more...
