Call for Proposals for GEF Small Grants Programme (Application deadline: 30th September 2013)

Kindly be informed that the 2013 Call for Proposals for GEF Small Grants Programme (OP5) is now out on the SGP Malaysia website.

SGP Malaysia has funds to support projects as follows:

  1. Full Project (grant amount capped at US$ 50,000)
  2. Strategic Project (grant amounts to US$150,000) for project of strategic nature, high policy impact, wider stakeholder participation, broader geographical coverage, etc.
  3. Capacity Development Grants (grant amounts to US$50,000) with purpose to strengthen Civil Society Organisations capacity to address global environmental challenges, establish network to share knowledge and best practices, etc. Separate grants are available for proponent to design and conduct the following capacity development activities:
    1. Stakeholder Workshops
    2. Best Practise and Knowledge Fair

Exact grant amount approved will be determined by the scope, extent, impact and activities of the proposed project. More details about each of the grant above including the template for proposal can be found on the SGP website.

The grant is open to all locally registered Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Community Based Organisations (CSOs).

Even though SGP is an environmental themed programme, it is also opened to all types of civil society organisations.

Deadline for application is on 30th September 2013, shortlisted proposal will be considered during the next National Steering Committee Meeting scheduled at the end of October 2013.
