Our Goals
To create a vital platform for filmmakers and activists to showcase human rights films and advocate their causes to the Malaysian public. These films are often unseen by the public due to little commercial backing and the control of mainstream media.
To encourage the Malaysian public to use the video medium as a tool for social documentation and film-making. Technological advances have brought about a democratising effect to film-making in recent years; with a video camera in hand, any individual or community can share their story in the way they want to tell it, and express their skills and passion to produce socially relevant films.
To help to build the culture of documenting or telling stories about our own social realities, and via screenings and discussions, to develop a better understanding of human rights as a framework to understand and solve issues around us.
This Profile was created by MESYM with information available on the Organization's website.
