The objectives of the Society are as follow:
1. To conduct research on the biology and ecology of turtles in Malaysia and to disseminate research results through publications and local and international seminars and conferences.
2. To bring about a recovery of turtle populations in Malaysia by initiating and intensifying conservation efforts.
3. To cultivate concern for wildlife amongst the public by raising the profile of turtles in Malaysia through exhibitions, public awareness campaigns, educational programs and production and distribution of educational materials.
4. To provide professional/consultancy services in the field of turtle conservation, management and research to local, regional and international agencies.

Each student will be given a button badge; a copy of an Activity Book that contains information on turtles, and a few individual activities such as Word Search and a Crossword Puzzle; and some light refreshments.

Since 2011, we have been operating our River Terrapin project out of a villager’s house, and now we are trying to raise RM60,000 (US$15,000) to establish a new center for our terrapin project at Kg. Pasir Gajah, Terengganu, Malaysia.
