A continuation of Malaysia first ever shark theme run Fintastic Fun Run Penang in year 2016, Shark Hero Conservation Run 2017 is now open for registration! Show your support for shark conservation and awareness by participating in this fun run. Great for family and kids with lots of after-run activities and food truck on an exciting weekend !

<Ambassador’s roles and appearance>
1. Press conference – 7 September 2017
2. Promote the run by sharing our event page and your SHark Hero Poster. (PM us for your poster to be send to you)
3. Sign up and participate for the Run – 18 November 2017
(PM us and you’ll be under VIP front line to flag off the run and VIP loungue usage)

What do you have to do in this event?
1. Shark runner (run in shark suit)
2. Photographer
3. Merchandising adn games booth handler
4. Kids Art and craft assistants
5. Shark Information booth handler
6. Propose your idea of shark related activities and run it with us !

Yes, we care for our volunteer welfare.
Meal & transportation allowance are provided.
RM50 per volunteer

In conjunction with Shark Awareness Day, our Shark Hero Team along with some of our wellknown ‘KL Comedy-Boys’, have pulled together to organize a Comedy Special in support of our My Fin My Life campaign!

It’s called

Sharkasm (It’s Not Finny)

Date: 13 July, Wednesday @ 8.30pm
Venue: TREC KL, Jalan Tun Razak

100% of proceeds from ticket sales will be channeled towards the WWF-Malaysia’s conservation efforts and entry to the comedy special will only be upon pledging on http://www.myfinmylife.com.

Wildlife Studies – Funding opportunities from Education for Nature

Greetings,

Alex Batka from WWF-US will be in Malaysia from 15-18 Dec to promote WWF’s Education for Nature (EFN) programme (see flyer attached).

Malaysia is one of the eligible countries, and we are looking for Master’s or PhD students who are studying and/or conducting research in a range of wildlife-related areas. They can study anywhere in the world, but must return home after completing their degree to advance conservation in their home country. They may request up to US$30,000/year.

We’ve created this space for the youth of today to speak up and speak out about their hopes and dreams for a greater, more sustainable future, and provide first-hand account of the environmental and sustainability initiatives currently ongoing in Malaysian schools, campuses and universities.
